Kavala Prefecture, Greece

The prefecture of Kavala is one of the most organized prefectures in Greece, with an exceptional tourist infrastructure that cater for both winter and summer vacations. The medieval castle, the old tobacco storehouses, the Town Hall, the Municipal Library, the Municipal Museum, the Turkish building Imaret, the old Kamares aqueduct, the Panagia district in the old town, the churches of Panagia and Agios Panteleimonas, the Monastery Agios Syllas, and the sand dunes in the region of Nea Peramos, are some of the sightseeing attractions of the marvellous town of Kavala.

Wandering around the beautiful prefecture, you will come across the charming hamlet Eleftheroupoli, the scenic fishing village Keramoti, the secluded coastal village Loutra Eleftheron, and the cosmopolitan holiday resort Nea Iraklitsa, which is known for its lovely beach. THASSOS Island
