SITHONIA BEACHES, HALKIDIKI GREECE

The Sithonia Peninsula in Halkidiki Greece is the ideal vacation spot for those who want to spend their time on superb beaches, soaking up the sun and swimming in the crystal-clear sea.

Upon entering the Sithonia Peninsula in Halkidiki Greece from the western side, you will come across the beaches of Kortessa, Lagada and the lovely beaches of Nikiti, which are situated beneath verdant hills.

After Nikiti, there is a long stretch of sand that curves into coves, creating small, breathtaking beaches with azure waters, including the Sithonia beaches of Kastri, Agios Ioannis, Koviou, Kalogria, Spathies and Elia.

Traveling towards the holiday resort of Neos Marmaras, you will find the beaches of Tripotamos and Paradissos (meaning heaven), which does justice to its name. The beaches in Neos Marmaras are beautiful, lined with trees and resting next to beach bars and restaurants.

On the southwestern side of Sithonia Halkidiki, there are the beaches of Diaporti, Azapiko and Toroni, which is long, sandy and has very clean waters. In Porto Koufo, visitors can swim in a sheltered bay area.

Located in the southeastern coast is the stunning beach of Kalamitsi, which is actually a series of smaller golden sandy beaches with dazzling waters. Traveling northwards on the eastern side is the bay area of Sykia, with its charming beaches: Kriaritsi, Klimataria, Linaraki and Agrida.

Sarti Beach, Platanitsi Beach and Achlada Beach are splendid, with soft sands, pine trees, water sports facilities and beach bars. The famous Kavourotripes Beach is the most stunning of all Sithonia Beaches, as it has turquoise waters and unique rocky formations. The wonderful beach of Armenistis is located among a lush pine-forested area.

There are several lovely Sithonia beaches along the northeastern coast, such as the beaches of Zografou, Lankara and Karydi. The settlement of Vourvourou offers some very impressive verdant beaches, with coves and pool-like waters.
